Music

Help us sing the Lord’s praises.

Make a joyful noise.

For decades, good music has drawn worshippers to Monroe Street Church. Still today, our services feature a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary tunes that inspire people to rejoice through song. Whether you sing like an angel, sound like a rock star, or can’t carry a note in a bucket, your voice is welcome here.

Wesleyan Chorus

If you are a singer who loves the joy of making great music, this is the group for you.

The Wesleyan Chorus has a long history of singing the fine sacred choral literature of the church. This choir—with both trained and untrained voices—provides excellent music for Sunday worship and special services.

Rehearsals are on Wednesday nights at 7:15 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.

Angels’ Wings Handbell Choir

Handbell experience is not required.

Our handbell choir rings for worship monthly. Even if you have no handbell experience, with a bit of coaching and practice, you can have a great time ringing handbells.

Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 6:15 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Praise Team

The Praise Team enhances our worship with upbeat contemporary music once or twice a month. Instruments of all kinds join with voices raised in joyful song.

Rehearsals are on Mondays at 1:30 pm.
