| Throughout MSUMC's more than 185 years in ministry, music and the arts have been a major focus. This has been made possible only through the generous contributions of time and talent of the many volunteers who participate. |

MSUMC Choirs

Wesleyan Chorus Without a doubt one of, if not the best, choirs in the city, the Wesleyan Chorus has a long history and tradition at Monroe Street for providing excellent music for Sunday worship and other special occasions. With both trained and untrained voices, they sing each Sunday from September through May, and often provide special music through dinner theaters and special seasonal events. During the summer months soloists or ensembles provide music for our worship experiences. If you love to sing, this is a wonderful group in which to take part. Practices are on Wednesday nights at 7:30 PM. Social activities are also a part of their agenda.
Intergenerational Choir This group offers an opportunity for those who love to sing but don't read music, those who love to sing and read music, those who want to do something fun with their family, and others who just want to sing to be a part of a musical group. The choir sings twice a month in worship and generally does contemporary or international music. The age range is from Kindergarten through senior citizens. Three generations of one family are in the choir, and singles also find a place to express themselves musically. They practice on Sunday afternoons at 12:15 PM

Bell Choirs Starting this Fall
An adult bell choir has been formed and meets on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. under the leadership of Annelle Donaldson. Adults interested becoming part of the bell choir should contact Brian in the Music Office.
A Children/Youth Handbell Choir is in the forming stages. For parents who are interested in enrolling their child/children in a Handbell Choir, please advise me about your schedule possibilities. Here are some available times we could do this: mid-Sunday afternoon; Monday-Friday late afternoons; Monday, Tuesday and Thursday early evenings; Saturday morning. We will proceed with this as interest and availability warrants.

Please e-mail or give me a call at 419/473-1167 #30 if you have questions. We hope that you'll find time to get involved with the music programs this year!
Blessings,
Brian
